Industry

Industry refers to businesses whose principle activity involves manufacturing or selling products that incorporate nanotechnology or business associations that support such organisations.

NANO2ALL will make businesses more aware of the concept of responsible research and innovation (RRI) as well as of its advantages for their activities and will provide them with RRI tools and best practices.

Through NANO2ALL they will also work together with different societal groups to discuss important issues which arise from the use of nanotechnologies. This cooperation will allow them to become aware of and understand the perceptions and concerns of other members of the society in this regard, and develop their technology and innovation considering the future positive and negative impacts of their activities, improving the public acceptance of their future products.

On the other hand, the deliberation about the use of nanotechnology will provide businesses with a platform to express their views and transmit their knowledge to other groups, creating more overall transparency and enhancing public confidence in nanotechnologies, as well as in their own technologies and products. Their involvement will also contribute to and influence the design of an innovation agenda with innovation trajectories that are most likely to advance into responsible nanotechnology applications. In addition, they will contribute to the definition of actions required to enhance societal engagement in nanotechnologies.

The Nano2All project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme, under the Grant Agreement Number 685931.
