Third consortium meeting and training in Amsterdam

The third consortium meeting for NANO2ALL was successfully held in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, between December 5-6, 2016! The event focused on discussing in details the citizen and multi-stakeholder dialogues that will take place in 2017 in France, Israel Italy, Poland, Spain and Sweden within the project. The prototype version of the NANO2ALL scenario exploration game (adapted from JRC´s future simulation tool 'Scenario Exploration System' (SES)) was tested by partners during the event. The game, which will be used as part of the multi-stakeholder dialogues, explores future nanotechnology scenario situations in three application areas (Nanotextiles, Brain-machine interfaces and Nanomedicine) across multiple timelines. Experiencing the game was helpful in gaining a better insight in how it works and how it can be used during the dialogues sessions. After the SES tests, JRC provided guidance to future moderators of the NANO2ALL dialogues on how to moderate the SES most efficiently. Organisers of the future dialogues were also trained by VU and Malsch TechnoValuation on successfully conducting the dialogues sessions and preparing stakeholders for their participation in the events. These participants will be offered tailored training packages to empower lay persons to discuss freely about nanotechnologies with nano-experts. Training will also raise awareness of practical tools for responsible research and innovation.

The Nano2All project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme, under the Grant Agreement Number 685931.
